Popular Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo in a recent post on social media comes out with receipt as she counters the recent statement released by the NDLEA.
Today, October 7th 2023, The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) released a statement that disclosed that Mohbad was never arrested or detained in any of their custodies.This response comes following the ongoing Police diligent investigation in finding justice for the late Mohbad as they request Inquiry from the NDLEA.

The death of Mohbad has raised dust for weeks given the circumstances surrounding his death. One of the videos that resurfaced online was when Mohbad while on the hospital bead discloses how NDLEA drugged him with white substances in their custody after he was arrested alongside Zinoleesky in February 2022.
Reacting to this NDLEA in the statement said; “We also heard the unsubstantiated allegation on social media that Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, aka MohBad, was arrested and detained by NDLEA on the 24th of February 2022 and given a substance to drink.
“In response to this allegation, we wish to state categorically that MohBad was never arrested neither was he ever detained in the custody of the NDLEA on the said date or any other date before or after. The foregoing being the case, the issue of giving him any substance to drink does not arise.”
However, this official statement by NDLEA did not sit well with Iyabo Ojo as she tackled NDLEA for not debunking such news about Mohbad since then.
Iyabo Ojo noted that something is hidden about NDLEA and by extension exposes the agency by showing video of When NDLEA officers were seen with handcuffed as they arrested Mohbad as his wife, Wunmi was seen fighting for him.
He also shared video of News Media Arise TV confirming the news of Mohbad and Zinoleesky being arrested by NDLEA officers in February 2022 and also Naira Marley confirming their release from the NDLEA custody.
Iyabo Ojo wrote; “My take!!! this happened Feb 2022. Why didn’t the @ndlea_nigeria come out then to correct or debunk the news if it was all lies!!! . Clearly, there was a situation, are this not your men, beating, harassing and arresting……. abi no be handcuffs i dey see so?????”
