Ondo-based chef, Adeola Adeyeye, also known as ‘Chef Deo,’ has surpassed the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking hours by an individual, praizemedia report.
Adeyeye completed a 150-hour cook-a-thon in the late hours of Thursday, July 6th 2023, beating the current record of 100 hours (93 official hours) set by chef Hilda Baci.

Chef Deo had earlier revealed that she informed Guinness World Records of her intentions and was given the approval before commencing the cooking marathon.
A large crowd gathered at the venue of the event in Ile-Oluji, the headquarters of Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government in Ondo State to celebrate with her after she hit her target.
Chef Deo commended the challenge on 30th of June 2023, and concluded the on 6th of July 2023.
